Dr. Ahmed’s current research interests include Malware, Digital Forensics, Cloud Computing, Human Factor in Cybersecurity, Industrial Control System (ICS) Security, and Cybersecurity Education.

Saranyan is an Master’s in Computer Science student at University of New Orleans from India, currently working as Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. Irfan Ahmed. Before coming to UNO he worked as a software engineer in NTTDATA Global Delivery Services Limited, Bangalore, India. He did his Bachelor’s in Information Technology at Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology, ( Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai)
